A bit about me...
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa. I have studied in the UK and the US, and I currently call Los Angeles home.
Prior to my work with Mozilla, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow with joint appointments at the University of Southern California, the Berggruen Institute, and Harvard University. I completed my PhD at UCLA, where I also received my MA in Political Science. I hold both an MBA and MSc in African Studies from the University of Oxford, where I studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Additionally, I received my Honors in Economics and Law from the University of Cape Town, and completed a 1-Year Conservatory in Film Producing at the New York Film Academy. I have been published academically in the History of Political Thought, and Polis: The Journal for Ancient Greek and Roman Political Thought. I have moreover been published in general audience media across the US, UK, and South Africa in publications like TechStream for the Brookings Institute, Noēma Magazine, The Hill, CNBC, openDemocracy, and Business Day. I have also worked in the digital media and telecoms industries across various sub-Saharan African states and on projects in these regions for companies like The Walt Disney Co. I continue to hold positions at various large international organizations at both corporate board directorship level, and as philanthropic trustee.
